What should I expect at my session?
First, we'll meet at a location that best suits you and your personality. We'll spend some time walking around to a few different spots to get the best variety. I'll help you pose so you look natural and comfortable. Feel free to bring props like sporting equipment, an instrument, your varsity jacket, or anything special that you'd like to include in your photos. Sessions are laid back and all about you, so you should expect to have fun! Just be yourself and enjoy the attention!
When will we get our photos?
I will upload your unedited images to an online gallery within a week. Once you make your selections I'll start the editing process. Final images should be available in about 4-6 weeks, depending on how many images you choose. If you order prints, they will be delivered about 14 days after they're ordered. You can download all the final photos from your gallery to share online.
How are images edited?
Edits include minor retouching such as cropping, straightening, basic skin retouching and enhancing, and color correcting. Edits do not include drastic changes such as removing braces and bra straps, etc. Removing glare from certain eye glass coatings may incur an extra cost. If you have questions or are concerned about specific edits that are not included, let's talk. I will do my absolute best to accommodate you.
When do I pay for my session?
A $150 retainer is due when you schedule your session, to reserve your time. The retainer is applied to the total cost of your session. Your remaining balance is due at the time of your session. Any additional balance for prints and add-ons can be paid at the time of purchase.
What if we have bad weather?
In the case of inclement weather your session will be rescheduled. However, if it is not raining during your scheduled time, your session will not need to be rescheduled; overcast days and clouds are fine. Should it start raining mid-session we can choose to sit it out, or reschedule a different time to complete your session at no additional cost.
What about my yearbook photo?
Your high school should direct you on having a photo taken for yearbook, as many schools in our area have studio contracts, or very specific instructions. Should your school allow you to submit your own photos, let's talk! I would be happy to take your yearbook photo, and will submit your photo directly to the yearbook company.
